  Text: Funeral services will be held this afternoon for Mrs. Ella Elarbee Taylor, 114 West Duffy Street, who died early yesterday morning in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be conducted at 4:30 in the chapel of Irvine Henderson Funeral Home by Elder Banks, of the Savannah Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetary. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

A native of Bryan County, Mrs. Taylor had been living in Savannah for the past four years. Formerly of Guyton, she was the widow of Joseph Daniel Taylor.

She is survived by four sons, F.B. Taylor, Mittry Taylor, and H.H. Taylor, of Savannah, and H.J. Taylor, Guyton; eight daughters, Mrs. H.J. Barner, Guyton, Mrs. L.W. Phillips, Garden City, Mrs. W.B. Johnson, Mrs. I.L. Mock and Mrs. Ray Noble, of Savannah, Mrs. Eva Hattaway, Brunswick, Mrs. Frank Adams, Macon, and Mrs. H.C. Hattaway, Brunswick; four sisters, Miss Estelle Elarbee, Savannah, Mrs. H.H. Everett, Guyton, Mrs. Iva Abram, St. Louis, MO, and Mrs. L.H. Burgsteiner, Guyton; one brother, Virgil Elarbee, Savannah; 24 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Citation Details:  Obituary from Marie Taylor
  Text: Joseph Daniel Taylor, 67, of Guyton, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L.W. Phillips, Smith Avenue, Garden City, yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Taylor was born March 28, 1875, in Effingham County and has been a prominent farmer at Guyton for many years, and was a member of the Methodist Church of Guyton. He had been a visitor in Savannah only a few weeks before his death.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon from Irvine Henderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. B.H. Dixon, pastor of Chapel in the Garden, officiating. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetary.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ella Ellerby; eight daughters, Mrs. L.W. Phillips, Mrs. I.L. Mock, Mrs. H.R. Nobles, all of Savannah, Mrs. H.L. Barnes, Guyton, Mrs. H.C. Hattaway, Hazlehurst; Mrs. W.B. Johnson and Mrs. Frank Adams of Agusta, and Mrs. H.H. Hattaway of Charlotte, N.C.; four sons, F.B. Taylor, H.J. Taylor and Mittry Taylor, of Savannah, and H.H. Taylor, U.S. Coast Guard; one brother, Willie Taylor, of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. T.V. Ellerby, Savannah, and Mrs. J.C. Everett, Guyton, and twenty grandchildren.
