| Death | Obituary for Robert L Hattaway Jr Publication: February 11, 2004 Citation Details: Feb 11, 2004 Text: Robert L. ‘Junior’ Hattaway Jr. Robert L. “Junior” Hattaway Jr., 72, of Danielsville, died Sunday, February 8, 2004, at his home. Mr. Hatta-way was born April 13, 1931, in Madison County. He was a son of the late Robert L. Sr. and Florida Mae Curtis Hattaway. Mr. Hattaway was a heavy equipment operator and attended Old Canon Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Revs. Jack Evans and Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Danielsville. Mr. Hattaway’s grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Hattaway is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Phillips Hattaway, Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Florence Hattaway, Danielsville, and Jerry and Margie Hattaway, Canon; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Frank Coile and Carol and Mike Hardy, all of Danielsville, and Judy Culpepper Downs and David Downs, Glencoe, Ky.; grandchildren, Scott Coile, Winterville, Jessica and Chad Hart, Hartwell, Jason Hattaway and Matt Hardy, both of Danielsville, Eric and P.J. Hattaway, Watkinsville, Kim and Kevin Little, Royston, Jeff and Michelle Culpepper, Nicholson, and Christy and Jason Goldman, Commerce; five great-grandchildren; brothers, John, LeRoy, Eugene and Billy Hattaway, all of Danielsville, and Elmer Hattaway, Waycross; and sister, Marjorie Hill, Danielsville.
